We at Story City are excited to announce the launch of four unique story adventures across five different locations in Atlanta in Partnership with Atlanta’s Parks and Recreation Department.

Download the Free Story City App HERE and start your adventure! Learn more about what Atlanta’s Parks and Recreation Department are doing below!

While exploring parks and downtown we invite you step into the shoes of someone solving a mystery, surviving a magical cafe or saving the City of Atlanta from an interdimensional incursion. Each story highlights significant park and downtown features encouraging you to visit, all the while gamifying the experience for the tech generation.

We recommend using Tips from your Barista to find a local coffee house to enhance your morning cup of joe or give you something to do while waiting for that really cool networking opportunity to show up. Or may we recommend grabbing a couple of new conference friends before or between sessions and take a 45 minute adventure with one of the below stories through a park or face the challenge of the Omicron while exploring Atlanta’s Downtown highlights?

You can find three of these five experiences downtown, one just to the west in Historic Vine City and one located in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park Botanical Garden just east of downtown.

These experiences are FREE for conference attendees to enjoy as Atlanta’s gift to you!

These stories were selected by the City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation Department to quickly activate your experience in their city, and to innovatively showcase their excitement as we embark on a six month custom activation with them for their after school programs.

Story City has published 100+ custom interactive stories across 14+ cities, worked with over 30 organizations, trained 600+ creatives, and employed 150+ local creators to create stories that have driven an average of 30,000 users through a city, encouraged an 87% completion rate, 40% repeat visitors, increased time on site by 60+ minutes, seen 5x the media exposure of regular events, and ultimately changed the perception of cities and parks from monotonous into a destination to explore.

We work with city departments in two ways: a) drop pre-made stories like the below OR b) we build out custom activations paying local creators from your community to do so. Atlanta chose to do both. If you are interested in exploring what this could look like in your city parks, please do not hesitate to connect with our Head of Community Activation, Tim Souza.

Now on with your adventure…

I need you to use your creative powers to bring the art in Piedmont Park to life!

Where is this story located: Find your way to Piedmont Park east of downtown.

If you are interested in exploring what this could look like in your city and parks or are interested in learning more about how we work with Parks and Recreation, please do not hesitate to connect with our Head of Community Activation, Tim Souza. He can walk you through how we have structured Story City to be a company with the capacity to work with any park, no matter their style, goals or budgets.

We hope you enjoy these adventures and your time in Atlanta this week!

Happy exploring!
