St John’s Cemetery Info-Popup Historic Note: St John’s Cemetery

The cemetery, too, is the oldest burial ground in the Colony of NSW. The graves of many people from the first fleet and significant people associated with the foundation of the colony are buried here. The oldest headstone still intact is that of Henry Dodd who died in 1791.
