The Skink Info-Popup Brush Turkey

The Australian Brush-turkey has black plumage, a bare red head, yellow throat wattle and a flattened tail. Its big strong claws dig up insects, seeds and fallen fruit in forests and scrub. Males build mounds (4m diameter, 1m high), females lay and no parental care is given to hatchlings, who can fly within an hour.
